Fall 2026 registration is open — leagues start September 8.

Find your league

How it works

You don't need a team to play.

Most people who join SPSC don't arrive with a roster. Here's exactly how registration, placement and game nights work.

Four steps, start to first serve

  1. 01

    Pick a league

Filter by sport, night, venue and skill level. Every listing shows the start date, the number of weeks and the price before you commit.

  2. 02

    Choose how you're joining

Full team, small group or solo free agent. All three go through the same registration.

  3. 03

    Get your placement and schedule

Teams are confirmed and schedules are published before week one. Free agents are contacted with their team.

  4. 04

    Show up and play

Referees, equipment and league shirts are provided. Check the status board before you leave for your game.

Free agents

Coming alone is normal here.

Register as an individual and SPSC places you on a team that needs players. You pay the free agent rate instead of a full team fee, and you get the same shirt, schedule and playoffs as everyone else.

Have a request — a night, a skill level, a friend you want to play with? Send it to stephanie@spscdetroit.com when you register and SPSC will do its best to accommodate.

  • You keep your own pace

Recreational divisions exist for exactly this.

  • One price, no roster math

Free agent rates are listed on every league page.

  • Placed before week one

You'll know your team and captain before you show up.

  • Same season, same shirt

Free agents are full members of their team.

Skill levels, explained plainly

Recreational
New to the sport or back after a long break. Everyone plays, scores are kept, nobody is yelling about it.
Intermediate
You have played before and know the rules. Real competition, organized teams, still friendly.
Competitive
Experienced players who want a high level of play every week. Expect strong teams and tight games.
Social / Fun
The game is the reason to show up, not the point. Bowling, darts, euchre and kickball fit here.

What a game night looks like

  1. 01

Arrive 15 minutes early and find your team — captains usually have the shirts.

  2. 02

Games run on a set clock, back to back, so nights end when they're supposed to.

  3. 03

Referees handle the calls. Rules and policies are published by SPSC.

  4. 04

Most leagues head to a nearby bar or taproom after. Nobody is obligated, everybody is invited.

Rules, refunds and policies

Sport-specific rules, roster requirements, weather policies and refund terms are maintained by SPSC. We link straight to the source rather than paraphrasing them here.
